Description

IV Centennial edition of the immortal work of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha, held in Madrid, Ediciones Castilla, in 1967; adorned with engravings by Gustave Dore 356, with gross comments conduct such work Clemencín Don Diego (1765-1834), preceded by a critical study of Luis Marin Astrana plus a summary index of illustrators and commentators of Don Quixote by Justo García Morales .

Although the editor says “Edition IV Centenario”, the fact is that the work is published in 1967 and we were right to not find the Centenary; perhaps closer the birth of Cervantes in 1547.

Extraordinary and very manageable edition in one volume of 1,988 pages, where almost half was shared the work of Cervantes and Clemencín comments.

Characteristics:
Complete work in one volume, format 15 x 19 cm, bound in embossed leather, tinted edges.
Bible paper, text in two columns with good reading and with many illustrations in black and white.
Also open in embossed leather case, format 14.8 x 19.5 x 7 cm.
Both within the book and in the case the bindery appears: Alfredo Ortells, Valencia.

State of the book in perfect condition inside, something grazed binding on the back.

A good example that should not miss in your collection of Quixotes.
