Description

Facsimile of the incunable edited in Salamanca in 1492 of the work of Antonio de Nebrija, Castellana Grammar, whose original is conserved in the Municipal library Serrano Morales of Valencia. Two-color printing. Reference work for the Spanish language.

The famous Castilian Grammar of Antonio de Nebrija (Lebrija, Seville) was printed in Nebrigensis Typography.

Very important incunable preserved in the Municipal Library of Valencia, with capitals in red and Gothic letter, which identify it as one of the few existing copies of the first edition, since in the sixteenth century the first was reprinted with round letters.

First grammar of the Castilian language, source of consultation for true scholars. Nebrija’s work, considered as the first Spanish humanist, who reviewed the Latin and Greek texts of the polyglot Bible complutense of Cardinal Cisneros.

Limited edition to 3,000 numbered copies, and made in 1993 in Valencia by Vicent García, authenticated by notarial deed that accompanies the book.

This copy corresponds to the exclusive edition number 1, in perfect condition.

Incunable bound in parchment, format 16 x 23.5 cm. 146 pages without page.
