Edition, numbered and limited, illustrated by Salvador Dalí, from Los Cantos de Maldoror (Les chants de Maldoror, French literature, 19th century), by Isidore Ducasse, Count of Lautréamont, from the first Spanish translation of the work, made by Julio Gómez de la Serna in 1925, extended by Ramón Gómez de la Serna and completed by Manuel Serrat Crespo and Henriette Viguié. The complete work is presented in a beautiful beech wooden box made and aged by hand with Salvador Dalí’s screen printed on the lid, made with handle and type of old travel suitcase. Interior of the box with capitone padding and inner nest lined in bright red silk. Closures, handle and corners of metal also aged by hand.

It includes:
Black folder, format 29.5 x 41.2 cm, with 6 spectacular independent notebooks, one for each Edge, with a total of 360 pages with the binding sewn and lined by hand with natural gauze, illustrated with the facsimile reproduction of the 30 Dalí prints, printed in 5 inks, and of the 12 engravings that illustrate the opening and closing of each of the Cantos, made in 1934 by Dalí for this work.
Glossy plasticized black cardboard folder, 29.5 x 41.2 cm format, with facsimile reproduction of the 11 preparatory drawings and 4 state tests, plus an enlarged double drawing.
And the book study of the work, bound in hardcover with straight spine. Capicuado format – two books in one with two covers, so it can be read both ways – 17 x 23.8 cm, 290 pages. A book “Estudios, Salvador Dalí”, 168 pages. And the other, “Isidore Ducasse Count of Lautréamont”, 128 pages.
Also when opening the case-box there is a solid iron metal plate, treated with rust, manually polished with pumice powder, evoking the passage of time, format 44 x 32.2 cm. At the bottom of the screen a quote from the Count of Lautreamont from the First Song, which announces the beginning of a trip to surrealism, in a labyrinthine exercise, in which the text follows a play of colors in infinite lines.

Single edition limited to 2,948 numbered copies, and sold out in the publishing house. The reproductions have been printed on 200 gr Modigliani paper and glued by hand on 200 gr Tatami White paper. Box-case format: 47 x 36.5 x 15 cm. Total weight 15 kg.

Exemplary complete and in perfect condition (the box presents a small blow, as you can see in the photographs, but without major importance).
