Description

4 sheets of facsimile pages of the Beato de Liébana codex of Corsini, 12th century, presented in a small folder with a total of 16 pages of the smallest Blessed of the Blessed illuminated series.

The unusual and small format of Blessed Corsini encloses with more grace, if possible, all the charm of the blessed. It is an example of very peculiar characteristics that radically differentiate it from all the other beati that are still preserved today. To begin with, it is much smaller than the rest, practically comparable to a Book of Hours. And, interestingly, this unusual format will print that really special character to your writing and thumbnails. His text will fully collect that core of all the blessed who are the comments of the monk of Liébana to the Apocalypse of San Juan. He also does it with a partly Visigothic letter, partly Caroline, with Gothic elements, but very careful, of great care and beauty that allows him, despite the reduced size, to recreate all the content.

Facsimile of the pages that we offer in this folder on special pergamenata paper equal to the luxury facsimile. Format of the pages (without folding the sheet) of 19.5 x 17 cm.

Ideal sheets to frame or to study a small part of a great medieval manuscript.
