In this book study of the Book of Hours by Bonaparte Ghislieri (or Ghisilieri), edited by the greatest expert in miniature Bolognese, reconstructs with two essays by Massimo Medica the history of the miniature in Bologna between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and the various stages of the manuscript. Giancarlo Benevolo writes about the events of the noble Ghislieri family. Finally, Peter Kidd explains the content and characteristics of the codex.
