Description

Lot made up of 30 beautiful volumes from the “Clásicos de la Novela Histórica” collection published between 1972 and 1975 by the excellent (and unfortunately extinct) Círculo de Amigos de la Historia publishing house, in monthly installments without chronological order. Texts in Spanish.

The publisher did not include the name of the collection in any of the volumes, always treating them as completely independent works, although with a homogeneous presentation. In some volumes the ISBN data is wrong or does not appear. We indicate the number that officially appears in the ISBN. We write down the volume number of the collection that the publisher indicates next to the ISBN and Legal Deposit (it does not appear anywhere else).

The batch that we offer is made up of 30 volumes, with a total of 26 works by 18 authors of the 19th century. Although there are previous works on historical themes that are frequently associated with the genre, it is usually understood that the historical novel was born in the 19th century, within the framework of Romanticism, by the Scottish Walter Scott.

Characteristics common to all volumes:
Beautiful black hardcover binding with gilt stamping, spine set with 2 red stamped labels with gilt author and title, guide tape.
Full page illustrations in color and out of pagination.
Format 12 x 18.2 cm.
All volumes have 256 pages (plus illustrations) except 5 of them (indicated).
The volumes marked with an * still have 2 small round buffer stamps from the previous owner.
The volumes marked with two * keep, in addition to the 2 tampon stamps, an ex libris of a tampon from the previous owner.
All volumes in perfect condition, unused. Some present very slight signs of the passage of time on paper, without importance.
