Original kept in the General Archive of the Indies, Seville.<br \/>\nFacsimile on special paper aged with artisanal techniques, 23.5 x 32.5 cm format.<br \/>\nLimited edition of 1,514 copies, numbered and notarized.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Complementary study book, of the historical character and transcription of the document, by D. Juan Gil, Professor of Latin Philology and Academic of the Royal Spanish Academy. Preface by Mr. Miguel de La Quadra-Salcedo, de facto Ambassador of the Spain Brand.<br \/>\nPaperback bound, 24.2 x 32.5 cm format. 68 pages on thick paper. Texts in Spanish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"VIiyi\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"es\" data-phrase-index=\"0\" data-number-of-phrases=\"2\"><span class=\"Q4iAWc\">Both, a facsimile of the original document and a study book, together with the Notarial Act, are presented in a book-folder lined with printed green silk, 25.5 x 35 x 2 cm format, which in turn is presented in a<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"es\" data-phrase-index=\"1\" data-number-of-phrases=\"2\"><span class=\"Q4iAWc\">wood covered in green silk format 25.5 x 36.5 x 3 cm.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Juan Ponce de Le\u00f3n embodies the characteristic type of the Spanish conqueror. He went to the Indies with the will to remain, in the company of his wife and children, and not with the intention of returning to Spain enriched. He fought the Indians when the circumstances required it, but he also tried by all means to make a peaceful colonization in Puerto Rico, attracting the caciques with the affability of his treatment. He discovered a verdant new land which he named Florida. His life was a constant struggle, a continuous effort to travel, populate, fight, attend to the future of his children and defend his rights before the Crown, without ever having a moment of respite.
