8, 9 x 12.5 cm format. 282 pages. Decorated capital letters, cartoons and illustrations intaglio. Binding period, Dutch leather and fabric types and gilded irons. Marbled cuts. Signs of rust on paper, unimportant; All in all pretty good.
The sample is very rare in trade. In the CCP (Collective Catalogue of Spanish Bibliographic Heritage) there are only 5 copies (CCPB000529967-5), one in Lambert Mata Public Library of Ripoll (Gerona); another in the Public Library of Ferrol (La Coruna); another at the Central Library Headquarters Marine Navy, Madrid; one in the Library of the Benedictine Abbey of Santo Domingo de Silos, Burgos; and the latest in a private library of Castilla-Leon.

Christoph von Schmid (1768-1854) was a German writer of children’s stories and an educator. Their stories were very popular and were translated into many languages. Considered by many critics as the pioneer of children’s literature.
