Hernando, or Fernando, Colón y Enríquez de Arana (1488-1539) was a Spanish bibliographer and cosmographer, son of Christopher Columbus and brother of Diego Colón. He accompanied his father on the fourth trip to America and later his brother Diego and wrote the “History of the Admiral” in honor of his father. Hernando Colón owned the most important library of his time with more than 15,000 volumes.
