Description

Beautiful obelisk reproducing those of Ancient Egypt, highly decorated with hieroglyphs.

The obelisk, called Tejen in the sacred language of the ancient Egyptians, was a synonymous term for “protection” or “defense.” As a general rule, obelisks were built in pairs and served to magically protect the temple of the sun god RA in the Temple of Heliopolis, the “City of the Sun.”

Made in special resins, hand painted in copper brown and the hieroglyphs in gold. Each side of the obelisk bears different inscriptions.

Format with a base of 5 x 5 cm and a height of 21 cm. Weight 371 grams each.

Lot of two obelisks, in perfect condition. New. It is accompanied by a card (texts in English) from the manufacturer Veronese, 2002.
