This beautiful and interesting Book of Hours contains a large number of images decorated with floral, animal, fruit, architectural motifs and brightly colored piety medallions, on a gold background, forming a highly polychrome ensemble.

The history of more than one hundred years of the Borja family is, without legend or myth, an incident that is difficult to imagine but rather quite real: a family of the small Valencian aristocracy that in less than half a century gives birth to two popes, Calixto III and Alejandro VI. , and a dozen cardinals to the Roman Church, which for many years occupies the center of power in the Church itself, which marries their children into ruling families, becomes the protagonist of the struggles for power in Italy, gives rise to an accumulation of infamies such as the papacy has never known again, and later closes the incredible circle producing a great saint, San Francisco de Borgia, General of the Society of Jesus in full counter-reformation.
