A selection of 33 full-color lithographs by Londoner George Vivian (1798-1873) entitled “Spanish Scenes,” and 24 full-color lithographs by Frenchman Nicolas Chapuy (Nicolas Marie Joseph Chapuy, 1790-1858) entitled “Views of Spain.” Special limited edition of 1999 by Guillermo Blázquez, Madrid, of only 100 copies.

A beautiful bibliophile book bound in a leatherette hardcover with gilt and an illustrated dust jacket, 25.5 x 34.2 cm in size. 138 pages on excellent heavy-weight laid paper.

George Vivian visited Spain several times between 1833 and 1837, and his observations produced two albums of prints featuring Spanish views. The 33 lithographs presented in this beautiful book were selected from “Spanish Scenery” (1838).

The traveler and draftsman Nicolas Chapuy visited the Peninsula several times, and his observations produced a series of lithographed prints that made our country’s monuments and picturesque spots known throughout Europe.

This copy is in perfect condition and unused.
