This work is one of the most important of Casimiro Gómez, since it expresses the desires of Spain towards its American and Asian territories, in terms of plants. The result of his work was a small book aimed at training botanic correspondents, expeditionaries and raising awareness of senior overseas officials. It reflects from information on botanical materials in which they should pay attention, to detailed instructions on how to uproot trees, shrubs or herbs, how to replant them in pots, condition them in special drawers and prepared for the sea crossing; standards for the conditioning and transport of seeds and even the best way to prepare a dry herbarium.
