The Armorial Salamanca Steve Tamborino, conducted between 1516 and 1519, was part of the holdings of the College of Cuenca, in Salamanca, until the early nineteenth century when it became the Royal Library of the Palacio de Oriente in Madrid, for so for a long time the manuscript was known as the Royal Armouries Armorial. In 1954 he returned to Salamanca and was deposited in the University Library.

The armorials Steve Tamborino are important for knowledge of Spanish heraldry of the late fifteenth and early sixteenth century. It provided an excellent artist who painted the shields with crisp perfection and a thorough understanding of the characteristics and peculiarities, sometimes sensitive, the heraldic design. Meanwhile, Tamborino dominated the difficult art of blazon, that is, of finding the minimum and essential words an unequivocal description of a shield, in such a way that a good knowledge of the matter imagined without error or doubt.

Limited to only 350 numbered copies and notarized. Exclusive facsimile edition One of the shorter volume of copies that have been made to date, which also contributes to increase in value issues. Fax handmade bound in green leather with gold metal corners, locks and cover. 21.5 x 28 cm. 166 pages of paper simulating high quality corrugated parchment.

The book accompanying study, as is normal in all of these works, also it contains the complete transcription of blasonamientos with a picture of each page of the original manuscript (it misses the publisher at the time did not include a few pages the translation of texts into Spanish) and an index of the members of this Armorial shields. The study book is bound in leather and fabric back to match facsimile, 200 pages, 21.5 x 27.5 cm. Study by Martin de Riquer, of the Royal Spanish Academy.

The publisher delivers this extraordinary work in a box wooden case lined in fine red cloth, of very poor quality and suitable for delivery and little else. Inside they are both facsimile of the codex and the book study.
