Description

Facsimile edition made in Valencia in 1994 of the incunabula of 1493 known as Liber Chronicarum, Universal Chronicle, Chronicle of Nuremberg or Chronicle of Schedel (the latter by its author Hartmannus Schedel), about the original that is preserved in the National Library of Spain. A great edition to commemorate the 500 years of the incunable most famous known in the world.

Printed in Nuremberg in 1493 by Anton Koberger and written by Hartmannus Schedel in Latin.

This specimen we offer is unique for two reasons: for its presentation with a leather case, lined inside, decorated with borders and gold. Also by the extraordinary study book that we offer of gift, although of another publisher and other facsimile, but of the same work. The publisher who made these facsimiles of incunabula presented them with a case in Dutch, of lower quality that we offer, and without book study.

Facsimile bound in parchment on table, format 31 x 44.2 cm. 660 pages on special-purpose perforated paper, containing 1,821 prints drawn in black and white by Dürer master Michael Wolgemuth. In perfect state.

Published in a limited edition of 3,160 copies, numbered and authenticated by the publisher and notary.

The facsimile is delivered with an exclusive case in red leather with edges and gold title, nerves, lined inside, format 32.3 x 45.8 x 9.5 cm. In perfect state.

Accompanied by book of studies of gift, format 27,5 x 37,5 cm. 622 pages. Binding on hardcover with full color cover and presented in open cover type format 27 x 38 x 5.5 cm. This extraordinary volume of studies includes the first complete translation of this work into Spanish. Made by the publishing house Siloé for its luxurious facsimile of an original in color (available in the section of the “Spectacular Library”). Even though this study book was for another facsimile, the work is the same, as is the translation of the Latin text into Spanish.
