Magnificent impression of this facsimile of a work written in 1460 and painted in the 16th century, an absolutely faithful reproduction of the manuscript Codex Urbinas latinus 276, preserved in the Vatican Apostolic Library. It presents a text printed in full-page color, illustrated in the lower margin with drawings of all kinds of animals, of extraordinary interest as it constitutes the only handwritten testimony of the s. XV on the descriptive method applied to biology during the Renaissance. On the initial page, a magnificent black and red shield on a blue background, supported by two angels, and an extraordinary capital in gold delicately ornamented in full color. Inside, beautiful initials, always printed alternately in red and blue, and at the bottom of each page, images of the animal world that correspond to what is dealt with in the text, introduced with elegant stylistic features and animated with colors used with great delicacy , in which the artist lets his fantasy fly freely.

Complete copy and in perfect condition. Out of print and discontinued work, difficult to find in such good condition.
