Foreword by Francisco Morales Padrón.

The somewhat mysterious title of “Book of Prophecies” leads many to think that it is predictions made by Christopher Columbus. This is not the case; but his content is indeed a set of predictions made in the Holy Scriptures and that the Admiral believed he could relate to his mission. Columbus, a great reader of the Bible, extracted from it all the biblical references regarding the recovery of Jerusalem, the discoveries and conversion of islands, Tarsis and Ophir. It is a work born after the Discovery and is interesting for the knowledge of the intellectual personality of the Discoverer.
