Colombian documents in the General Archive of Simancas, XV and XVI centuries. Commemorative edition of the V Centenary of the death of Christopher Columbus.

A true facsimile edition held in Madrid in 2006 of a series of historical documents on the figure of Admiral Cristóbal Colón, property of the Spanish State and preserved in the General Archive of Simancas.

The list of documents that are delivered in 7 folders within the box-case is as follows:

I. Letter autograph of Christopher Columbus to Queen Isabella the Catholic, on matters of the Indies and his personal ones.
II. Letter of Columbus addressed to the scribe of SS ration. MM. Telling him of his first trip to the Indies.
III. Sorry for Bartholomew Torres, criminal, for having gone on the first trip of Columbus.
IV. List of people who accompanied Columbus on the second trip.
V. Payment of debts of Columbus for the trip of the third trip.
SAW. List of people and ships that Columbus carried on the fourth voyage.
VII. Testament of Christopher Columbus. Authorized transfer of the deed of writing and foundation of mayorazgo that granted Colón in Segovia to 25 of August of 1505.

Presentation of all documents in a box-lined black velvet case with clasp and gold titles, format 30 x 38.5 x 6 cm, containing:
The 7 folders with the documents, faithfully reproduced in paper aged and handled in a totally handmade way.
A study book, bound in hardcover covered with dust jacket, format 21 x 29.5 cm, 150 pages. Contains the transcript of all documents.
Notarial certificate certifying the originality of the edition, numbered and limited to 500 copies.
